 Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil underscored the important role played by businessmen in supporting most needy areas and their social responsibility toward reducing poverty rates.
Kabil made the remarks while inspecting the development realized in one of the most needy villages in Upper Egypt. Investment and International Cooperation Minister Sahar Nasr accompanied Kabil during the inspection tour along with Sohag Governor Ayman Abdel Moneim. Being the 12th poorest village to be developed, Juhayna village was reconstructed and services were upgraded to cope with urban development in Egypt. The minister said companies' social responsibility became one of the pillars for reducing poverty. He praised the initiative of El Masreyeen Group, Orman Association, and the Investment Ministry, which targeted developing and modernizing 40 poorest villages nationwide. |
