 Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting to review activities of the New Egyptian Countryside Development (NECD) project.
The meeting was attended by a number of ministers, the governor of Qena, the chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and the NECD chairman. The meeting reviewed the allocation of the first batch of lands for small farmers and investors in Toshka, Farafra and el Maghara areas. Several training sessions were organized to brief farmers and investors on how to set up companies, the NECD chairman said. Coordination is underway with the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation to facilitate procedures for establishing companies through the single-window system, he added. The NECD project aims at creating new urban communities that include many economic and productive activities. |
