Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla said the first phase of the project of northern Alexandria gas fields targets production of about 700 million cubic feet per day.
The project was carried out with total investments of about $9 billion. Molla's remarks were made as part of his speech at the ceremony marking the start of natural gas production at northern Alexandria gas fields. Meanwhile, Molla said the ministry's current strategy aims at increasing Egypt's production of natural gas gradually. This strategy comes in line with the state's plan to maintain providing people with fuel supplies, he added. |
