The Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ministry has finalized the third phase of developing East Delta marine fields after digging two wells (Habi -16 and Tort -8) which were placed on production plan with an average production of 140 million cubic feet of gas daily.
The expansion project of the land station to treat gas in Port Said was also finalized. Petroleum and Mineral Resources Minister Tareq el Molla stressed commitment to maintenance and industrial safety in carrying out petroleum ventures as well as rationalizing expenditure program and raising production rates, which is considered the cornerstone for pushing forward the economic activity wheel. Chairing the general assembly of Gulf of Suez Petroleum Company (GUPCO) firm, the minister pointed out to coordination with foreign partners and commitment to production plans to place new discoveries on the production plan. In a statement issued on Sunday 20/8/2017, el Molla said that increasing the activities of the foreign partner reflects confidence in investing in the petroleum industry in Egypt. |
