Minister of Finance Nayef Falah Al-Hajraf discussed with the British Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Michael Davenport preparations to hold the Second Kuwait Investment Forum due on March 20-21.
The scheduled event, to be patronized by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, aims at boosting competition, improving business environment and promoting potential enterprise in Kuwait, a ministry statement said. Minister Al-Hajraf and the British envoy discussed ideas about diversifying income resources and financial reforms, in shadow of low oil prices. The talks also dealt with forecast repercussions of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union. The first edition of the forum, held in March, was a promotion platform for Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority, which seeks to shed light on investment opportunities and financing resources. |
