His Excellency Mohammed Thani Murshid Al-Rumaithi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received His Excellency Husin Bagis, Ambassador of Indonesia to the UAE, at the Chamber’s tower in Abu Dhabi.
Both sides discussed increasing investment and tourism cooperation relations between Abu Dhabi companies with their Indonesian counterparts. H.E. Al-Rumaithi praised the high level of relations between the UAE, Abu Dhabi in particular, and Indonesia, pointing out that Indonesia is one of the main trade partners to Abu Dhabi, especially in the sectors which the emirate is focusing on in its future plans including the industrial sector and tourism among other priority sectors for the economy of the emirate. During the meeting, which was attended by His Excellency Mohamed Helal Al-Muhairi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, Al-Rumaithi emphasized on the importance of inviting Indonesian businessmen to visit Abu Dhabi and showcase the available investment opportunities in their country. He also called on Emirati companies to benefit for the diverse investment opportunities available in Jakarta and the many privileges given to Emirati companies which have the desire to invest in Indonesia. H.E. the chairman expressed the Chamber’s readiness to welcome and support all Indonesian investors, businessmen and companies that are willing to practice their businesses in Abu Dhabi. For his part, the Indonesian Ambassador extended an invitation to the Abu Dhabi Chamber and the companies operating in the emirate to visit Jakarta. Bagis also pointed to the ongoing mutual cooperation between both countries, the increase in tourism and economic promotion for Indonesia, and the possibilities of benefiting from the Indonesian local market and its exceptional geographical location. He expressed his country’s interest too to attract Emirati investments and provide UAE businesses with all the necessary facilities and support to make these investments a success in Indonesia. |
