Tunisia’s central bank raised its key interest rate to 5.75 percent from 5.00 percent and said the hike, which is the third in a year, aims to ease inflationary pressures.
Tunisia’s annual inflation rate rose to 6.9 percent in January, the highest level in 20 years, up from 6.4 percent in December. |
