Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Imad Fakhoury discussed with the chairman and members of the Tafila Governorate Council the governorate's demands and developmental and investment needs.
Fakhoury said in a statement that the governorate councils across the Kingdom had a vital role to meet service needs of local communities in coordination with ministries and through the governorate executive council. He said the government is working through its various programmes to raise the pace of local development in the Kingdom's various regions, and make a success the governorate council experience within the comprehensive reform process. The minister was briefed on proposed productivity projects in the governorate, including a wool manufacturing and a fish farm among others. |
