The government's keenness to approve the budget for 2018 will contribute to boosting confidence, which is in line with the World Bank's recommendations to reduce the deficit," said governor of the Central Bank, Riad Salameh, at the Business Forum held at Phoenicia Hotel under the patronage of Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
"Our main objective is the stability of the Lebanese pound, and we affirm this stability," he said, hoping that the Cedar conference would bring about additional foreign investment, which would improve growth and increase employment opportunities. |
