Algeria’s trade deficit reached USD97million in the first two months of 2018 against USD2.33 billion in the same period in 2017, down by USD2.23 billion (96%), said the Algerian Customs.
Exports increased to USD7.101 billion from January to February of 2018 against USD5.67 billion, down by 25.24% corresponding to an increase of USD1.431 billion between the two periods of reference, said the Customs’ National Centre for Statistics and Data Processing (CNIS). Imports however declined to USD7.198 billion from January to February 2018 against USD8.002 billion in the same period in 2017, down by USD804 million (-10.05%). Coverage of imports by exports reached 99% in the first two months of 2018 against 71% in the same period last year. |
