Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has promoted Bahrain during a roadshow held in Russia in line with its efforts to enhance bilateral relations.
The Kingdom's delegation was headed by BTEA officials and included representatives from Gulf Air and hotel and travel agents. This comes as part of the BTEA’s strategy to promote the MICE sector, further strengthening the Kingdom’s position on the global tourism map. BTEA strives to host leading international events and exhibitions that will attract visitors and tourists from the region and abroad. In addition, several meetings were held with tour operators in order to bring large-scale tourist groups to Bahrain. “We are working closely with our representative office in Russia to increase the tourism influx to the Kingdom of Bahrain to further support the growth and development of the tourism sector and the national economy. The delegation was able to discuss the Kingdom’s tourism offering, further promoting it as an ideal tourist destination,” said the Director of Tourism Marketing and Promotions at BTEA, Yousef Al Khan. Holding meetings with renowned tour operators in Russia comes in line with the BTEA’s strategic outreach program to promote the tourism brand ‘Ours Yours’ aimed at showcasing the Kingdom of Bahrain as the ideal tourism destination to the regional and international markets and further promote the Kingdom’s touristic offering as a main contributor to the overall economic growth in line with the Economic Vision 2030. |
