Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil stressed that Egypt is keen on enhancing partnership ties with the International Labor Organization (ILO) to implement the comprehensive economic reform program based on achieving social justice and preserving basic rights of workers.
The program aims at enhancing equal opportunity principle and guaranteeing the best exploitation of human resources, he noted. These remarks came during a meeting between the minister and a delegation representing the ILO office here under Peter Van Rooij. The get-together took up promoting cooperation between the Trade and Industry Ministry and ILO especially in the fields of boosting entrepreneurship and providing job opportunities for the youths. The talks held last month with the ILO Director-General Guy Ryder represent a main pillar of bolstering joint cooperation especially in the domains of developing small, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) besides empowering women and youths, the minister said in a statement. |
