Investment Minister Sahar Nasr attended a meeting of the Arab group of the World Bank (WB) in Bali, Indonesia, .
President of the WB Group Jim Yong Kim praised Egypt's efforts in the field of entrepreneurship and to support emerging companies, according to a statement by the Investment Ministry. The WB is working to support private sectors and human capital in the Arab world, said Jim. Nasr stressed the importance of continued WB support for the private sector in Egypt, noting that innovation should be encouraged in the Arab world. She called on the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to pump more investments into the private sector and to support advanced technologies. The minister also welcomed a WB initiative to support human capital, noting that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gives priority to investment in human capital. That's why the Investment Ministry is acting to support entrepreneurs and emerging companies in line with the new investment law, Nasr said. |
