Finance Minister, Mohamed Maait, asserted the government's keenness on creating an investment-friendly climate and attracting investors via establishing a new infrastructure and setting up roads and bridges along with national projects in the fields of new and renewable energy and power linkage networks.
He added that the move will contribute to improving the business environment and removing all obstacles facing investors and encouraging them to increase their investments in Egypt. The minister made the remarks during his meeting with Japanese Ambassador in Cairo Masaki Noke and a high-level delegation from the Japanese Embassy here, along with the Japan Business Association and representatives of 30 Japanese companies investing in Egypt. Maait said, in a statement, that his ministry has recently set up a unit in cooperation with the Investment Ministry to support the investors and solve their problems, a step that ensures the ministry's keenness on creating an investments-friendly climate. The Japanese investments represent a large percent of investments here and contribute in several sectors, Maait added. For his part, the Japanese ambassador praised the remarkable efforts of the Egyptian government in terms of implementing the economic reform process, stressing his keenness on continuing cooperation with the Egyptian side. |
