Deputy Agriculture Minister Mona Mehrez and Uruguayan Ambassador to Egypt Enrique Ribeiro discussed preparations for a planned Uruguayan-Egyptian business meeting that will tackle boosting cooperation in the agricultural field.
Egyptian businessmen should consider importing cattle, meat, and liver from Uruguay in addition to exporting Egyptian citrus fruits to Uruguay, Mehrez said. Mehrez hailed the deeply-rooted ties between the two countries, citing the 1959 signing of a joint cultural cooperation program. Ribeiro said the Uruguayan business delegation will discuss ways of increasing trade exchange with Egypt. |
