Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called on Austrian firms to make use of the modern infrastructure currently available in Egypt.
During a meeting with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Sisi said that Egypt is looking forward to boosting relations with Austria in all fields, particularly in the domains of economy and trade, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said. The Austrian firms should make use of the Egyptian market as a gate to the African countries in light of Egypt's presidency of the African Union in 2019, he said. The president also praised the solid and deeply-rooted relations between Egypt and Austria, the spokesman added. Van der Bellen, meanwhile, praised the economic reform decisions taken by the Egyptian government and the underway mega projects. He stressed his country's keenness on supporting the development plan in Egypt in all fields. The Austrian President also praised efforts exerted by Egypt to maintain regional stability, as well as combating illegal immigration and fighting terrorism. The meeting also tackled issues of mutual concern at the regional and international levels, particularly the Palestinian cause. The two presidents stressed the need for reaching a fair solution for the Palestinian cause based on the two-state solution, the spokesman added. |
