Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar met with a business delegation from the Chinese Shandong Province, led by Vice Governor Ren Airong, where they discussed means of strengthening mutual economic ties.
The meeting discussed expanding industrial cooperation between Egypt and the province in the fields of textiles, petrochemicals, electricity, renewable energy, oil, gas, IT and agricultural machinery production. Nassar pointed to the possibility of exporting joint products to third markets in Africa and Europe, especially that Egypt has a wide range of free trade agreements with many countries around the world. With Shandong boasting around 152 industrial zones, Airong said that Egypt could benefit from Chinese know-how in the establishment of industrial parks. |
