The New Suez Canal project had played an important role in upgrading the rating of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish said.
The project benefited from the mounting volume of the international trade, as the waterway attracted 10 percent of the total world trade, 24.5 percent of container transportation, and 100 percent of container movements between Asia and Europe, Mamish added while receiving a House of Representatives' industrial delegation. The visit comes as part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to continue following up the developments and progress in SCZone. |
