Head of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones Mohsen Adel said the authority seeks to establish a second free zone in Alexandria and expand the zone of Borg El Arab.
He held a meeting with members of the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce with the participation of Alexandria chamber of commerce members. Adel pointed out that the authority aims to expand in the free zones in the coming period in the governorates of Cairo and Alex, which attract 60% of investments and number of companies, free zones and labor force, as well other areas. He reiterated that the authority also works to establish free zones and industrial zones in several governorates including the Red Sea, Giza, Kafr El Sheikh and Aswan. Such efforts aim to contribute to increasing exports to east Africa, Arab region and Europe, Adel added. |
