Military Production Minister Mohamed Saeed el Assar has made a tour of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC) and China Enfi Engineering Corp with the aim of cooperation in establishing a project for producing solar panels.
The minister was accompanied by a number of representatives of the ministries of defense, environment, electricity, investment and international cooperation, trade and industry and the Administrative Control Authority. The move falls within the framework of the Military Production Ministry's policy which is aimed at cooperating with international companies so as to transfer the latest global technology to the country, including manufacturing of solar panels. The two sides agreed to swiftly take the measures needed for implementing the project in Egypt. Assar and his accompanying delegation also toured several companies and their affiliate factories including the Metallurgical Corporation of China and China Silicon Corporation Ltd. to get acquainted with their capabilities in producing solar cells starting from the stage of sand. Assar's visit aims at making sure of the companies' potentials that are needed for the establishment of an industrial complex in Egypt. |
