Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli stressed that industry promotion tops the agenda of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi who tasked the government with developing an online industrial map encompassing all industrial lands nationwide.
The government will regularly follow up the process of supplying industrial complexes with necessary utilities, Madbouli added. The premier made his remarks during a meeting evening to keep abreast of the latest developments in providing industrial parks with necessary facilities. The ministers of local development, trade and industry, housing, utilities and urban communities attended the meeting along with Chairman of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSMEDA) Nevine Gamea and officials from several relevant bodies. Over EGP 200 million have been allocated to supply industrial parks with required facilities, Minister of Trade and Industry Amr Nassar said during the meeting, adding that the Funds earmarked for Alexandria Mergham complex and another industrial park in the Red Sea resort city of Hurghada became available. Gamea said coordination is underway with the New Urban Communities Authority to solicit bids on a number of 256 factories in the 10th of Ramadan city. For his part, Housing Minister Assem El-Gazzar reviewed a comprehensive report on new industrial plots and the facilities so far provided in these areas. |
