 The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said the first national financial technology portal has been launched.
In a statement, the CBE said the portal is part of ongoing efforts to transform Egypt into a non-monetary society. Titled "Fintech Egypt", the portal is considered one of the most important outputs of the technology and innovation strategy announced by the CBE during Aswan's Arab African Youth Forum, it added. CBE Sub Governor for Payment Systems and Information Technology Ayman Hussein described the portal as a new step on the transformation track to reach a digital economy and enhance financial inclusion. It connects all stakeholders in the financial technology system, including innovative financial technology entrepreneurs, financial institutions, technology providers, experts and investors, he added. |
