Minister of Telecommunications Mohammed Choucair, received Lebanon's Ambassador to Morocco, Ziad Atallah, in the presence of President of the Lebanese Exhibitions and Conferences (LECA), Elie Rizk, with whom he discussed means to enhance economic cooperation between Lebanon and Morocco at the various levels.
Minister Choucair hailed Ambassador Atallah's efforts "to strengthen relations with Morocco and to follow up on the affairs of the Lebanese community in this brotherly country." Choucair pointed out that "there are many promising opportunities that can be worked on jointly to increase trade exchange and inter-investment." The Minister stressed the need to hold meetings between the private sectors in both countries to explore available opportunities in this regard. Ambassador Atallah, in turn, heaped praises on the Minister's keenness to strengthen Lebanon's economic relations with the outside world and to open new horizons for the Lebanese private sector. He also disclosed that the Supreme Joint Lebanese-Moroccan Committee intends to meet in Morocco in the first half of 2020, aimed to make a qualitative leap in the bilateral relations. Rizk, for his part, hoped Moroccan companies would take part in the exhibitions taking place in Lebanon, saying he shall provide Ambassador Atallah with the agenda of exhibitions to be held in Lebanon in the year 2020. |
