Egypt notched up to the third place in The Economist's list for the most accelerated economic growth globally in the first quarter of 2019, the cabinet's media center said .
The British magazine said that Egypt's GDP jumped to 5.6 percent in Q1 2019, following China and India, which occupied the first and second ranks, by 6.4 and 5.8 percent respectively. The Economist list showed that the economies of Italy, Turkey, and Argentina have weakened in the same period, slowing down to 0.1, 2.6, and 5.8 percent respectively. |
