Commenting on the joint economic activities, Hammori said these moves have played a "major" role in promoting and developing trade cooperation relations between the countries and agreeing on solutions to important issues that will enhance bilateral ties to serve the common interests, and to promote the volume of trade exchanges to reach the desired level.
At the end of his visit wrapped up Wednesday evening, Hammouri and the Palestinian Minister of National Economy signed memorandums of understanding (MoU) to set a timetable for enhancing trade exchange, as well as cooperation in a number of fields. Commenting on the MoUs, the Palestinian premier said: "We do not only sign agreements between the two countries, but we translate the wishes of His Majesty King Abdullah II and President Mahmoud Abbas and the Jordanian and Palestinian peoples that we support Jerusalem, and the national rights of the Palestinian people, as well as to achieve Jordan's welfare to maintain its security and strengthen its regional role on the Palestinian issue. " The agreements signed today, he added, are "real" by setting timetables agreed upon to implement them. For his part, Palestinian Minister of National Economy said the two sides seek to enhance trade exchange, emanating from the Palestinian government's policy to slash reliance on Israel, and to take Jordan as a gateway to the Arab markets. |
