 The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) gained EGP 6.8 billion this week as the market capital went up 0.9 percent to EGP 759.3 billion, compared to EGP 752.5 billion in the previous week.
The EGX 30 benchmark index increased 0.27 percent, registering 14,333.16 points, the EGX said in its weekly report Thursday, a copy of which was obtained by MENA. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading small and mid-cap enterprises (SMEs) jumped 2.42 percent, recording 553.08 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also up 1.57 percent, closing at 1,443.25 points. |
