Egypt's non-petroleum exports have increased by 75 million dollars in August to reach 1.964 billion dollars against 1.619 billion dollars in the corresponding month last year, said the General Organization For Export and Import Control (GOEIC).
Six exports councils have observed an increase in their exports, including the Agriculture Export Council whose exports reached 77 million dollars compared with 67 million dollars of the same period last year, a statement issued by the GOEIC read. The exports of the Export Council for Engineering Industries have recorded 176 million dollars in August, compared with 166 million dollars during the same moth in 2018. While the exports of the Food Export Council went up to 197 million dollars, the exports of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory and Metallurgy Industries rose to 383 million dollars in August 2019, the statement added. |
