Egypt & Britian Sign Mou on Manufacturing Water Treatment Systems

Minister of Military Production Mohamed Saeed el Assar and British Ambassador in Cairo Geoffrey Adams witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the National Authority for Military Production and UK's Envirotech Company on cooperation in the fields of manufacturing water treatment systems, electricity generation systems and solar panels.

The signing ceremony was held at the premises of the Ministry of Military Production.

The MoU comes as part of the state's interest in maximizing the use of available water resources, providing sources for its reuse as well as making the optimum use of energy resources as well as rationalizing their use.

Ambassador Adams, for his part, voiced the British companies' desire to increase their investments in Egypt especially in view of the progress realized in the two countries' relations over the past period, praising the state's interest in creating an appropriate atmosphere for investment through the signing of free trade agreements with a number of countries, issuing a new investment law as well as establishing logistics and economic zones along with depending on clean and renewable energy resources.

He said current cooperation with Evirotech company would enable the Egyptian side to manufacture water treatment systems, power generation systems as well as solar panels would help Egypt save hard currency spent on importing such systems from abroad.

Meanwhile, CEO of Envirotech Paul Williams said his company will start business with Banha Company For Electronic Industries (144 Military Factory) in the field of building solar stations as well as making water treatment systems and power generation systems for street lamps.
