Manpower Minister Mohamed Saafan received a delegation of the International Labor Organization (ILO) to discuss cooperation and joint action between the ministry and the organization.
Saafan met with Cynthia Samuel-Olonjuwon, Assistant Director General and Regional Director for Africa of the ILO, and Peter van Rooij, Deputy Regional Director for Africa, on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the directors of ILO offices in Africa, held in Cairo. The minister reiterated that cooperation is the main pillar to put an end to pending issues between the ILO bureau in Cairo and the Ministry of Manpower. Saafan added that the digitization will play a role in boosting competitiveness after putting it into effect in the directorates of manpower in the governorates of Alexandria, Port Said and Sharqia. The ILO officials praised Egypt’s capabilities to face challenges, affirming that the organization pays much attention to Egypt. |
