Ambassador of Belarus Sergei Terentiev said the recent visit of President Alexander Lukashenko to Egypt was very fruitful.
Four agreements were signed between the two countries to boost cooperation in the customs and banking sectors, outline a mechanism for political negotiations between their foreign ministries, and implement a government program for higher education and post-graduate studies, the diplomat said in statements to MENA . Meetings were also held on the fringe of Lukashenko's visit between Egyptian and Belarus businesspersons, he said. Lukashenko also had successful talks with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, Terentiev said, adding that the two leaders agreed on enhancing economic cooperation. Belarus is keen on contributing to implementing giant projects in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Terentiev said. He added that Lukashenko also inspected construction work in the New Capital. |
