Head of the Armed Forces' Engineering authority Ihab el Far said that 14,762 projects had been completed at EGP 2.2 billion, while 4,164 projects would be implemented at EGP 2.6 trillion.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of national projects in Alexandria, El-Far said the projects were completed upon directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to implement development projects in various fields. He added that additional projects would be launched in Alexandria, including 46 projects planned to be implemented at EGP 40 billion. He mentioned several projects including the establishment of Agamy Central Hospital, industrial complex, three seawater desalination projects, and four sewage projects. Concerning the educational facilities, head of the army’s engineering authority Ehab Mohamed said that eight facilities have been built to serve the Egyptian-Japanese education program, including one university and seven schools in Aexandria’s Borg el Arab city, as part of 45 schools have been constructed nationwide. For sports, the engineering authority had constructed two facilities, namely Ittihad Club and a sports hall in Borg el Arab city, Mohamed said, adding that three other halls will be established by the end of the year, to be used in the coming World Men's Handball Championship. Also, there are projects for establishing 29 religious’ facilities, of them 13 have been completely carried out and the others are under construction, he added. In agriculture, four silos were built with total capacity 250,000 tons, as part of 25 silos which were already completed. Head of the army’s engineering authority Ehab Mohamed said that a panel was established in the authority to review and inspect all the building violations nationwide, starting with Cairo, Giza, and Alexandria governorates. The panel's membership includes the engineering authority, Justice Ministry, Housing Ministry, Local Development Ministry, as well as the Administrative Control Authority, the Tourism Development Authority, the Industrial Development Authority ? and the National Organization for Urban Harmony, Mohamed said. Later on, the ministries of agriculture and irrigation joined the panel, he added. |
