Minister of International Cooperation Rania el Mashat and Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini signed two agreements in the field of technical support with a view to implementing the Robiky Leather City, as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
The move comes in light of the agreements of bilateral cooperation inked between the Egyptian and Italian governments. The first agreement is a grant worth about €6 million and aims to finance a technical assistance project to complete the implementation of the leather city in Robiky, Mashat said in a statement. The second agreement amends the $12.9 million protocol for the small and medium enterprises authority, which aims to support such enterprises via financing the purchase of equipment, technology transfer and relevant technical assistance, she added. |
