President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Sunday issued directives to the bodies concerned to expand the national project on the overall development of desert environment due to its great social and development benefits on residents of the Western Desert, especially in Matrouh governorate.
Meeting Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Agriculture Minister El Sayed el Qosir, the president also directed to provide all financial resources required to support the project’s plans to help the locals implement their small-sized enterprises in all fields as well as organizing training programs to enhance agriculture activities, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement. The president was also briefed on the project’s developments, especially in the Northwest Coast in Matrouh governorate. The project is being implemented in cooperation with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) at EGP 1.3 billion. |
