Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli stressed the visit of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to Qatar - his first visit to Doha which comes at an invitation from Qatari Emir Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani - is meant to enhance bilateral cooperation in various domains.

The visit also aims to hold consultations on various regional and international issues of mutual concern in the current period, he added.

Madbouli made the remarks during a cabinet meeting.

Meanwhile, Madbouli referred to Sisi's statements during his recent visit to the Suez Canal Authority which clarified many issues, especially with regard to the Suez Canal.

The president said the Suez Canal achieved revenues despite the state of stagnation gripping the world.

The president said the new projects in the Suez Canal have been funded by its revenues, stressing that the projects are not randomly implemented but they are carried out following thorough studies by specialized international consultancy offices.

Madbouli noted that President Sisi directed to hold an economic conference for the government to stand on the viewpoints of experts and specialists in this regard.

He noted that preparations for the conference have already started.

He referred to the great interest of the political leadership in the Egypt International Cooperation Forum (Egypt-ICF) which addressed key axes for mobilizing climate finance.

The Egypt-ICF is meant to move from the stage of promises to implementation.

The premier also referred to President Sisi's meeting with the heads of the higher and constitutional courts in Africa who were taking part in the sixth conference organized by the Egyptian constitutional court for the African higher and constitutional courts.

This underlined Egypt's keenness on supporting the role of the judicial authority in the African communities.

The premier also referred to his recent visit to Sharm El Sheikh for inspecting preparations for the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27).

The prime minister also tackled his meeting with representatives for nine international and local companies to follow up the timetable for implementing projects worth about one billion dollars.

The projects are in the fields of home appliances, fertilizers. chemicals, ready-made clothes, car components, IT and medicines and vaccines.

He noted that most of these projects will start production soon, stressing the state's keenness on dealing instantly with any challenges facing investors to strengthen local manufacturing.

He lauded the MoU signed with China's OPPO company to establish a new factory for mobile phones in Egypt at investment costs worth 20 million dollars.
