The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) continued its upward trend as all indices were up at trading session backed by purchase operations by institutions and local investment funds.
The market capital gained about EGP 5.5 billion to reach EGP 682.1 billion after transactions hit EGP 2 billion. The benchmark index EGX 30 was up by 0.93 percent to reach 9,854.21 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) jumped 2.95 percent, hitting 2,177.01 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 2.38 percent taking the index up to 3,109.03 points. |
