Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said all relevant state bodies are still offering many facilities and incentives to stimulate the investment sector and lure more local and foreign investments to maximize the benefits from the State's massive resources and potentials.
The premier was speaking during a meeting with Executive Director of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Hossam Heiba to follow up the efforts afoot to create an attractive investment environment. Heiba briefed the prime minister on a report summing up the results of the meetings held recently with some provincial governors to familiarize them with the investment opportunities in their respective governorates, and study the investment plan of each governorate. The two sides also discussed the results of a recent meeting with the the chairman of the Egyptian Exchange to enhance cooperation and coordination for promoting available investment opportunities and speeding up the process of transferring companies' ownership. Heiba also posted the prime minister on the authority's efforts to follow up the latest developments on granting the "Golden License," a fast-tracked, single-approval license that aims to support projects in sectors of developmental priority to Egypt. The license shortens investment procedures in a one-step approval that reduces time and effort.
