Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has reviewed a report presented by Basel Rahmy, CEO of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA), on the agency’s development efforts over the past eight years.
The report highlights the agency’s efforts on supporting the mall enterprises sector under the relevant presidential initiatives during the 2014-2022 period. Rahmy pointed out that such efforts are part of the state’s main plan to limit unemployment as the agency worked on encouraging youth to launch their enterprises in different fields under the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to propel development and enhance investment in human capital. The agency also worked on building a base for industrial, agricultural, trade, service and technological projects to contribute to meeting the needs of local and international markets. Rahmy also explained that the agency contributed to creating job opportunities for all categories in the society to promote the national economy. The body also worked on offering flexible mechanisms of funding for entrepreneurs with taxes exemption, in addition to backing development efforts in Upper and Lower Egypt governorates through carrying out several projects there. The CEO of the MSMEDA highlighted the agency’s great contributions to the implementation of the presidential ‘Decent Life’ initiative to improve living standards of all citizens nationwide. |
