Minister of Planning and Economic Development Hala El-Saeed, , announced the extension of the application period for the national initiative for smart green projects until July 2023, which is submitted by all governorates of the Republic, on the initiative's website www.sgg.eg.
This came within the framework of the Egyptian state's leading role in the field of sustainable development, and the importance the state attaches to settling sustainable development goals at the governorate level, and given the great turnout witnessed by the initiative from projects to participate in it at the level of various governorates. El-Saeed added that the initiative is unprecedented at the global level, as it focuses on implementation and implementation on the ground, explaining that it also focuses on seriously dealing with the environmental dimension and climate change within the framework of achieving sustainable development goals and digital transformation by presenting projects that achieve those goals. For his part, Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator of International Conferences at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and General Coordinator of the initiative, indicated that the initiative targets many areas, especially projects that take into account environmental sustainability standards, which lead to reducing carbon emissions and pollution and preserving natural resources. |
