Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and his companions continued his visit to several global companies operating in Egypt in information technology, engineering research and development services, outsourcing services, and professional ones, where he inspected the operational support services center at the headquarters of the Saudi company Gediea in Egypt.
Madbouly listened to a detailed explanation by one of the Company's officials, who explained that the leading fintech company, Geidea, attracts outstanding technical talents to work in its center in Egypt, which includes more than 1,200 experts in technological fields. He added that the center contributes effectively to building and developing financial technology applications and solutions for the Company's customers in various markets, in addition to empowering women and providing them with sufficient experience to become leaders in the future labor market, as the percentage of female employees in the Company is about 67%. In the same context, he stressed that Geidea is keen, in cooperation with the Egyptian government, to empower and develop young people of determination. The Company’s official noted that Geidea was established in Saudi Arabia in 2008 and its operations have grown significantly, which enabled it to attract large investments as it is a business model with a promising future in the technology sector. He pointed out that the company has been able to achieve many successes in Egypt during the past period, as the value of its investments, since it entered the Egyptian market in January 2022, has reached more than USD 40 million, and the volume of its business has tripled in the past year, and it plans to double the volume of business at a rate of 7 times the current volume of business in the coming period. |
