Scope |
The company invites all prospective suppliers and contractors for Study for Delineation of Oil Contaminated Areas with Higher Accuracy in Dukhan.
The primary objective of the study is to reduce uncertainties in identifying contaminated zones/areas and contaminant volumes in Dukhan fields and achieving the estimates with higher accuracy. To achieve the above objective, it is required to carry out delineation of contaminated areas through drilling of groundwater monitoring wells and estimation of the Light Non-Aqueous Phase Liquids (LNAPL) with higher accuracy in a phased way. In order to make accurate volume estimation, updated porosity values are required. For this purpose, cutting of conventional cores and their analysis are included in the study. Furthermore, in order to meet Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) requirements for groundwater quality, Naturally Occuring Radioactive Material (NORM) investigations in the groundwater samples are incorporated in the study. Also, the objective of the study is to enable QP to be aware about the currently available oil recovery and soil remediation technologies and most appropriate methods of recovery/remediation of the accumulated hydrocarbons.
