Strategy for increasing the Egyptian leather export

Engineer Rashid the minister of industry and foreign trade is adopting a new strategy between 2006 and 2008 to increase leather products exports to USD 1 Billion. The current investment in this sector is 4 Billion L.E. and the current exports are USD 250 million.

One of the most important challenges facing local leather producers is the absence of financial resources to support marketing of the Egyptian Leather in the global market.
