Notable Increase in Egyptian Exports to Lebanon

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Trade issued a report revealing that Egyptian exports to Lebanon witnessed a notable increase during the first half of 2011, recording U.S. $401 million. Egyptian imports from Lebanon dropped by 63 percent.

The report aims at introducing the community of Egyptian industries to the commodity structure and the geographical distribution of the Lebanese foreign trade to pave the way for Egypt's businessmen to increase exports to Lebanon. It is important to mention that the trade surplus hit $365 million in the interest of Egypt, which is the highest in the history of the relations between the two countries.
