A EU Program will provide Egypt 449 million Euro (EGP 3.9 billion) between 2011 and 2013 as part of the EU’s Neighborhood Policy, according to Minister of International Cooperation Fayza Aboul Naga.
Naga recently met with Ambassador Mark Franco, head of the EU’s delegation in Cairo, to discuss the new Neighborhood Policy. The Egyptian government is exploring how to spend the aid. Naga said that the government would focus on funding programs related to job creation, affordable housing, education, and other small and medium projects. |
