Hani Qadri, Aide to Egypt's Minister Finance has emphasised that Egypt is the largest economic entity among countries of the current democratic conversion, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. "Egypt should be therefore the biggest recipient of the resources of the Deauville partnership in its capacity as the biggest economy of the Arab spring states," he has told agencies and the MENA, during the meeting of the "finance ministers of countries of "Deauville Partnership". The meeting was held two days ago in the French city of Deauville.
He added that the partnership mainly included Egypt and Tunisia, which was later expanded after Jordan, Morocco and Libya joined in the political side of the partnership will be launched in the meeting of UN 's General Assembly by the end of September, he added. Qadri added that Egypt's paper which has been presented at the meeting included persistent short-term demands and liabilities such as setting up a modern democratic entity and building a new economic structure according to market mechanis. Meanwhile,in the G-8 leaders' summit of May, French president Nicolas Sarkozy had said that the total amount of financial support to Egypt and Tunisia could reach up to $40 billion, including bilateral and multilateral contributions.
