Bilateral foreign trade volume between Egypt and Algeria during the first half 2011 has increased by 23.6 % to $ 492.2 million above its level during the same period of 2010 put then at $ 397.1 million. This was announced by the Egyptian Ambassador to Algeria, Mr. Ezz El Din Fahmy, indicating that major imports from Algeria during the period included butagas and treated propane gas needed for the natural gas industry. On the other hand, major exports to Algeria included fertilizers, fabrics, steel and cement.
