Algeria and Qatar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) over mining cooperation. The MoU was signed by officials in the Algerian and Qatari mining companies, on occasion of Qatari minister of energy and industry Mohammad Al-Sada's visit to Algiers.
Both sides also agreed to study possible establishment of a joint company for exploration of gold. Meanwhile, Qatar and Algeria agreed to double efforts to promote economic cooperation particuarly in domains of transport, farming, energy and industry, according to the Algerian press agency. They also agreed to erect a joint company operating in marine transport and logistic services. They also agreed to speed up measures to signing a LNG agreement.
