Qatar Premier Holds Talks with Norwegian Premier

A session of official talks kicked off in the Norwegian capital, Oslo between the State of Qatar led by HE Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani and the Kingdom of Norway led by HE Prime Minister of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg. Over the talks, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of bolstering and developing them in the several fields. A set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern was also taken up.

The talks were attended on the Qatari side by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers who are members of the accompanying delegation. Whereas the talks were attended on the Norwegian side by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers.

HE the Qatari Premier and Foreign Minister and HE the Norwegian Premier witnessed the signing of an agreement of intentions between Qatar Fertilizer Company (QAFCO) and Yara Company International and Pologne institution on agriculture field and producing of vegetables and fruits in Qatar.Then the Norwegian Premier hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of HE the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and the accompanying delegation.

It is worthy to mention that Yara International ASA is the world s leading chemical company that converts energy, natural minerals and nitrogen from the air into essential products for farmers and industrial customers. Yara was spun off in 2004 by Norwegian aluminum giant Norsk Hydro, which produced the world's first chemical nitrogen fertilizer. The company is among the world's top producers of nitrogen chemicals, used primarily in its mineral fertilizers.
