The Egyptian Stock Exchange showed mixed performance at the closing of this week's trading with a remarkable decline in foreign share sales on 22/03/2012. The benchmark EGX 30 index rose 0.22 percent to 5145.32 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) declined by 1.1 percent to 477.75 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index followed suit with 0.65 percent down to 821.46 points.
