Dr.Mahmoud Issa, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade, assure the Necessity of accelerate the launch of maritime line linking Alexandria port and “Mersin” Turkish port, which will contribute to increased rates of trade exchange between the two countries, as well as facilitate the crossing of Egyptian exports to the Balkans and the Soviet republic through Turkey, and vice versa to facilitate the entry Turkish products to markets across the Arab and African Egypt. This came during meeting between the minister of industry and the Turkish delegation, who is currently visiting Egypt.
Turkish companies assure their desire to pump large investments exceeding one billion dollars in a number of development projects, which provide many job opportunities in the future. The minister said during the meeting with the delegation headed by Turkish “Ojul Acevet” Deputy Minister of the Turkish economy and in the presence of” Botsaly Hussein” Ambassador of Turkey in Cairo, the government's keenness to provide a favorable climate to attract more Arab and foreign investments to Egypt, especially in accordance to the gradual return of stability to the economy of Egypt. For his part, Ojul Acevet, Deputy Minister of the Turkish economy, that the visit of the Turkish delegation to Egypt aimed at putting the final touches on the Convention on the maritime line between the two countries, which are nearing completion and is expected to be signed during the next few days, he said, adding that the Turkish government is keen to increase economic cooperation with Egypt during the current stage, especially as the two countries possess the capacity and enormous potential to be utilized to increase the mutual cooperation in various fields in general and the economic field in particular. He noted that he will meet today and tomorrow, a number of investors, whether the Turks in Cairo or Alexandria to discuss all the obstacles facing them and coordination with the Egyptian officials to work to resolve them. “Mr. Hussein Botsaly” Turkish Ambassador in Cairo said that the strategic relations between the two countries is the principle of deepening Egyptian Turkish cooperation, especially that there is a genuine desire by officials of both countries to overcome all obstacles to increase the rates of bilateral trade and joint investments during the next phase, pointing to the keenness of Turkey to support the Egypt during the current transitional phase, especially as Egypt represents one of the most important strategic partners of Turkey in the Middle East. |
