Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri decided during a ministerial meeting on 7/4/2012 to pump EGP 600 million to enhance the Export Support Fund till the end of the current fiscal year. The move is meant to support the Egyptian exporters and increase the Egyptian products' competitiveness on domestic and foreign markets. The measure was adopted given the fact that exports are a lifeline for the Egyptian economy with the exports sector being the only Egyptian economic sector which achieved an increase in revenues by 17%.
